The Wreckage Story

The Bamfield Wreckage is a collaborative of Bamfield locals who are inspired to create a space where food is delicious, drinks are flawless and good times are the standard.

The concept of The Bamfield Wreckage has roots in the 1902 shipwreck of the SS Valencia where the community of Bamfield helped with lifesaving efforts, but moreover, aided in the recovery of much of the vessel material.

Still today much of the SS Valencia sits in Bamfield as toilets and lumber, curtains, and door handles… as Bamfield continues to survive decades of transformation, tribulation and success, the community remains the same; perfectly rough.

The Wreckage space is an homage to this one-of-a-kind community in a one-of-a-kind place. Come eat together, come cheers each other, come be yourself.
